FINISHES
MICHELINE has mastered various printing techniques to create unique and high end paper products.
Learn about the different processes we carry out in our workshop made by the best master printers and experts.
HOT STAMPING
Hot stamping or foil stamping printing process in which foil is transferred to the paper through a heated plate.
LETTERPRESS
Letterpress uses a metal plate to make a specific depth in the paper, this plate can be dyed to put ink on to that tactile indentation.
EMBOSSING
Uses a metal plate under intense pressure creating a raised design or text on the surface of the paper and adds a subtle finish, giving it extra dimension.
BLIND EMBOSSING
In this process raised lettering is created by pressing text into a plate. There is no ink used in the process, the result is lettering and images that are the same color as the paper.
THERMOGRAPHY
Each design is printed then a resin powder is added attaching to the wet ink. Finally, heat is applied to activate the powder, the heated ink results in a glossy finish.
DIGITAL PRINTING
Digital printing is a flat printing process of digital images that are transferred directly onto a variety of paper surfaces.
